OWENSBORO, Ky. – Independence Bank announces Katie Ferguson as its Webster County Market Leader. This career milestone comes at a particularly special time as Katie celebrates her 14th anniversary with the financial institution.

“I am absolutely honored to be given this opportunity,” Katie Ferguson shared. “We have a tightly knit group between both of our local locations and I have felt a tremendous amount of support. Over the years, I have had the privilege of learning from the best leaders. I look forward to doing what we’ve always done best, which is providing excellent care for our customers.”

Katie’s professional journey with the Bank is a testament to her dedication, hard work and deep commitment to her community. She joined the Bank as a part–time teller in 2011 and, over the years, has grown through various roles. From vault teller and customer service representative to loan assistant and lender, Katie’s progression through these positions has been nothing short of impressive. Her leadership, passion and expertise make her a natural fit to help move our Webster County market forward.

As a Sebree native, Katie possesses deep local roots. She currently serves on the Sebree Tourism Committee and as a member of the Webster County Sheriff’s Auxiliary Committee, which organizes Shop With a Cop. It is a charitable program helping law enforcement connect with and support local children.
