Independence Bank Announces Leadership Transitions:
Wade Gaynor appointed as Henderson County Market President
In an effort to ensure long-term growth and success, a leadership succession plan has been thoughtfully developed and enacted in our Henderson County market. As the new year begins, Independence Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Wade Gaynor as the Bank’s Henderson County Market President. Gaynor joined Independence Bank on March 14, 2016 — most recently serving as Hancock County Market President for the past six years. He will take on the role of Henderson County President effective February 1st.
Gaynor succeeds Jim Davis who joined Independence Bank as the Henderson County President in 2007. Davis led the search for the future leader of the Henderson market, carefully choosing his successor. He has been an instrumental part of the Bank’s growth and success for nearly two decades. With deep insight into the Bank’s values and strategic direction, Davis will remain with the Bank as a Senior Agriculture Lender. This transition reflects Davis’ confidence in Gaynor’s ability to leverage the Bank’s firm foundation and drive continued growth.
“Wade is the ideal person for our Henderson market,” Davis said. “His values and ideals of what a local bank should be to its community are the same as what we have been building here for the last 30 years. Not only is Wade a great fit for Independence Bank, he is an excellent addition to the Henderson community. I feel really good about giving him the keys to the shop and seeing where he can take us in the next twenty years.”
Gaynor’s journey with Independence Bank has included him holding a diverse group of positions, including a commercial lender. His past promotion to Hancock County Market President exemplifies his leadership and commitment to the Bank’s core values. Gaynor is known for his disciplined approach and focus on teamwork. He brings a competitive spirit honed during his distinguished athletic career as a former All-American third baseman for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and a seven-year tenure in the Detroit Tigers’ organization. These same qualities of hard work, passion and precision have guided his successful career in banking.
“At Independence Bank, we are deeply invested in the success of our community,” Gaynor reflected. “Alongside Jim Davis, I look forward to continuing the strong tradition of service that he and his team have established. We have a tremendous, experienced team here in Henderson that is committed to providing exceptional banking solutions to our customers. I am honored to step into this role and serve this great community.”
“This leadership transition demonstrates the Bank’s and Jim Davis’ ongoing commitment to strengthening this community, supporting the needs of our customers and fostering a culture of growth in this market,” Independence Bank CEO Greg Mullican shared. “I would like to thank Jim Davis for his love and commitment to the Henderson community and to Independence Bank. We’re excited for Wade to lead our team in Henderson and for Jim to continue supporting our agriculture industry.”
