For the last 6 years, Independence Bank has been providing monetary and non-perishable food item assistance for two of the three elementary schools in McLean County. There are approximately 50-60 kids that this program provides food for on the weekends. A local church graciously takes care of the other elementary school. The donation of $2,500 Independence Bank presented on November 9th with Becky Atherton, will help to fund the program for the 2023-2024 school-year.
