Junior Achievement announces Independence Bank as a United States President’s Service Award recipient for volunteer engagement during the 2022-23 school year.
The community-based financial institution is among a dozen other area companies, organizations, schools and people to receive this prestigious award across Owensboro and outlying communities.
Junior Achievement of West Kentucky is a certifying organization with the ability to recognize its valuable volunteer partners with this national honor presented from the White House and U.S. President. While the award was established during President George W. Bush’s tenure, the local JA office is in its 15th year as a certifying partner.
To be award eligible, companies/organizations/schools must provide a minimum of 200 community service hours for the certifying organization within the fiscal year. For the individual award, the person must provide a minimum of 100 hours for the certifying organization.
