Independence Bank is unyielding in its commitment of keeping the community at the forefront of everything they do. To help spread a message of acceptance and inclusion for Disability Awareness Month, Independence Bank is partnering with local authors Amanda Owen and Ashley Wedding to provide copies of their children’s book, Owen the Wonderer, to every elementary school in its Daviess County market.
This nearly $4,000 investment will allow 23 schools to have 15 copies of the children’s book. A portion of that support will be donated to Puzzle Pieces, an Owensboro-based nonprofit that serves individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Representatives from Independence Bank as well as the book’s authors will deliver these books to all local elementary schools on March 4th.
